In accordance with CA law, the expected pay range for this CA position is posted with this position.

The actual compensation may be determined based on bona fide factors such as education, experience, and other factors permitted by law.


Salary range for this position:
$ $28.38 / hour

Hiring Range for this position:
$ $21.50 / hour

Job Summary:

Primarily responsible for landscaping and grounds maintenance agency wide. In addition, responsible to assist facilities staff and Director of Facilities in their day-today operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensures the grounds at all agency sites are well maintained.
  • Travels to all agency sites on a regular basis to perform preventive maintenance and repair on basic household equipment and appliances.
  • Maintaining and services all mechanical systems such as stoves, refrigerators, garbage disposals, dishwashers, washers, dryers and exhaust fans.
  • Performs routine plumbing, electrical, and simple carpentry repairs as assigned by supervisor.
  • Performs basic vehicle checks and services as assigned by supervisor.
  • Driving vehicles and operates equipment necessary to perform maintenance tasks. Driving to any offices / sites will be required.
  • Assisting with complex and skilled maintenance tasks under the supervision of craftsman level senior staff.
  • Attending and participates in mandatory training and inservice activities.
  • Performs other duties and participates in special projects as requested by supervisor.
  • Interfacing with staff and clients in a serviceoriented, positive and productive manner during performance of duties.
  • Participating in QI activities and promotes such.
  • Supporting and promotes a traumainformed culture throughout the organization.
  • Working to promote and support diversity, inclusion, and equity at all levels in the organization.
  • Ensuring COA and other regulatory compliance.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.

Therefore, each employee must at all times beemotionally stable and able to function effectively with children, adolescents, and adults who may have mental or behavioral challenges. The staff must be able to demonstrateappropriate daily behavior, appropriate expression of emotions, as well as appropriaterole modeling. Hostility, aggression and unnecessary or inappropriate physical actions as well as inappropriate emotional expressions are not acceptable.
  • All agency employees must maintain confidentiality of client and case information andmay not access information unless directly related to their job responsibilities and duties, as stated in Title XXII d): All information in case records shall be confidential and shall be available only to the licensing agency, placement agency staff and personnel who need access for the performance of their duties.

Qualifications:

  • MUST BE FULLY VACINATED FOR COVID 1
  • Must have High School diploma.
  • Demonstrated experience as an allaround maintenance repairperson.
  • Combination of experience and formal trade education desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, organize workload and work cooperatively with others.
  • Knowledge of problem determination procedures and skills needed to perform jValid California driver's license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance company.
  • Must be able to be pass a fingerprint background investigation.
  • Must be able to pass a TB test, Physical Exam, and Drug Screening.
