POSITION OVERVIEW

Matheson Gas, Inc., is looking for an Area Sales Representative to become part of the team. The Area Sales Representative (ASR) will manage all aspects of sales and growth for the dry ice business in their designated area. Working collaboratively with various departments, the ASR ensures the safe and reliable supply of dry ice to customers. We seek a Sales Professional driven by success and capable of delivering value, understanding the importance of proactive results. This role involves customer service, maintaining existing clients, expanding the customer base, and close collaboration with different regions across the US and our corporate entities.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

  • Base salary: $75k plus commissions and car allowance (Total earning potential $115k+)
  • Territory: South Texas Market (Houston) - Home office-based

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve and surpass safety and growth targets within the assigned territory
  • Utilize software for outbound calls to potential clients
  • Submit precise and timely reports
  • Manage travel expenses efficiently
  • Adhere to company policies on safety, administration, and quality
  • Develop customer relationships and negotiate agreements
  • Collaborate with internal teams for business growth
  • Provide support and product knowledge to customers
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling
  • Maintain CRM data and engage in competitive analysis
  • Submit business packages for processing
  • And other duties as assigned

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of industrial gases and related equipment
  • Familiarity with safety standards and compliance practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Work Experience: 6+ years in professional sales, preferably in Dry Ice/CO2 products, B2C accounts
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Average: 40-60% - Travel to customers, prospects, and corporate meetings
