We are in the process of building a hiring pool of educators for the school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualized lesson plans and teaching strategies tailored to each student's unique learning needs and goals.
  • Implement evidence-based teaching methods and instructional techniques to promote learning and skill development.
  • Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other members of the student's support team to create cohesive and coordinated learning plans.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and encouragement to students to build confidence and motivation.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Stay current on best practices and developments in special education and related fields.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in special education, education, psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience working with special needs students in a tutoring, teaching, or support role.
  • Knowledge of different disabilities, learning disorders, and related educational interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and accommodate individual differences.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism in working with sensitive student information.
  • Certification in special education or relevant teaching credentials may be required depending on jurisdiction.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must possess reliable transportation as tutoring services primarily take place in private homes.
  • Proficiency with technology is essential for tasks such as video conferencing, record keeping, parent communication, report writing, and other related duties.
  • All applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID19 and provide proof of vaccination as a condition of employment. This requirement is in line with our commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our students, their families, and our community.
