Aquatics Director

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Branch Director, the Aquatic Leader manages and supervises the aquatic center's daily operations ensuring safety and adherence to YMCA's mission and policies.
The role involves creating a welcoming environment, fostering positive relationships with members, program participants, and guests, and leading a team to connect individuals within the Y community.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
- Completion of Lifeguard Certification and Child Abuse Prevention within 30 days of hire.
- Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification within 90 days of hire.
- Y-USA Swim Instructor Certification within 120 days of hire.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence and strong communication skills.
The Aquatic Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring a culture of safety, engaging with staff, and delivering exceptional service to members and participants. Strong leadership, effective communication, and flexibility are key to success in this position.
This role demands commitment to the YMCA's philosophy and core values.
Required competencies include mission and community orientation, people-oriented approach, results-driven attitude, and personal development focus.
Required Certifications- Lifeguard Certification and Child Abuse Prevention.
