ABOUT YOUR ROLE:


This position is responsible for working with both children and adults on acquiring, developing, and increasing social engagement and independent living skills, and increased interaction in the community and home settings.

This position works to reduce problem behaviors that impede functioning.

POSITION DETAILS :


Involves transporting consumers (typically adults/children with autism) in your own personal car, from their home to where their session is in the community, provide them treatment, and bring them back to their home.

DO YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS? High School diploma or equivalentMust complete all required trainings developed by the Bureau of Autism Services for individuals with an autism spectrum disorder (AAW); must complete all required trainings developed by the Intellectual Disabilities Department, specifically pre/in-service training based on consumers Individual Support Plan (IDD)Must be willing and able to transport consumers in your own vehicle.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Criminology, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or other related field is preferredADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid drivers license for the purpose of transporting consumers (AERI programs only)

Must possess proof of automobile insuranceMust be proficient in use of electronic health record systemOrganization and attention to detailClear written and verbal communication skillsLanguage, mathematical, and reasoning ability skillsMust be able to make sound decisions to support consumers in a calm and timely manner; must be able to utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities based upon consumer needs, and react quickly to prevent consumer injury or injury to another due to consumer behaviorAbout (FBR) Family Behavioral Resources :
We work in local schools, homes, and communities servicing children with diagnosed behavioral and mental health disorders.

We also provide Outpatient Mental Health Therapy and Intensive Behavioral Health Services in numerous locations throughout the state of PA.
