Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the warehouse material handler is to accurately receive, store and pick parts for QPI's internal and external customers.


Essential Functions:

  • Pulls and prepares product for orders and shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is pulled
  • Sorts and places materials and/or items on racks, shelves or in bins
  • Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages product and materials using a forklift or other power equipment
  • Maintains equipment by keeping it clean and safe, reporting service requests as needed
  • Marks materials with identifying information
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
  • Efficiently moves and loads product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers
  • Unloads inbound freight safely and moves products to storage locations, verifies product and received into QPI system
  • Performs picking duties in an efficient manner that meets both company and customer standards
  • Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation
  • Assists with warehouse cleanup as required
  • Other duties as required and assigned by supervisor
  • Follow policies and procedures as designated by ISO and QPI

Qualifications:

  • 12 years forklift experience required
  • Ability to follow safety regulations while operating equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
  • Customer focused team player / collaborator who can also work independently
  • Positive problem solver. Looks for the root cause of an issue and works with team to resolve.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and display a sense of urgency in serving the customer
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to understand and meet ISO and quality requirements
  • Must have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work with all different types of people
  • Must be a selfstarter
