As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will work under the guidance of an RN to ensure patient safety, welfare, and the implementation of therapeutic plans. Your responsibilities will include serving as a patient observer, performing receptionist and clerical duties, and contributing to the efficiency of the nursing unit.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
X High school diploma or equivalent X Required
X Two (2) years of collegiate coursework in general psychology, interpersonal communication, abnormal psychology, and/or human growth and development X Preferred


Required Skills
Essential qualifications include critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently. Must be capable of operating in high-pressure environments and taking appropriate actions.


Certifications:
X Basic Life Support (BLS) X Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
X Handle with Care Certification or CPI required within 90 days of employment


Minimum Work Experience
It is beneficial to have at least one (1) year of prior experience in a healthcare setting

Minimum Salary: $13.0

Maximum Salary: $21.3
