Job Description:
  • Perform complex administrative tasks for Nursing Services under the guidance of the Chief Nurse Executive.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, exercise initiative and judgment, and make decisions within your authority.
  • Coordinate with various managerial levels within the organization.
  • Prepare, review, and disseminate staffing schedules for Nursing Services.
  • Compile and analyze data related to budget and staffing needs.
  • Support nursing performance monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations and accreditations.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Attend work regularly and follow specified shift schedules.
  • Act as administrative support for Nursing Services, overseeing workflow with minimal supervision.
  • Facilitate communication between Nursing Administration and other departments.
  • Screen and manage phone calls efficiently.
  • Prepare and distribute staffing schedules for direct care employees.
  • Review staffing reports, coordinate coverage, and analyze statistics for evaluation.
  • Handle correspondence and inquiries effectively.
  • Coordinate and prepare for various meetings, including agenda setting and minute taking.
  • Analyze departmental data and prepare reports for management.
  • Support quality improvement activities and prepare educational materials.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
  • Knowledge of office practices, administrative procedures, and business English.
  • Skills in using office equipment and software like Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to implement administrative procedures effectively.
  • Capacity to interpret and communicate rules, policies, and procedures clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Understanding mental health programs basics.
