Medication Technician-Memory Care
- Type: Full-Time
- Shift: Various, Days
- Wage: $18-20/hr
- Location: Avamere at Yakima, Kern Road, Yakima, WA 98902
The main objective of this role is to provide daily health services and medication support to each resident.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and follow current protocols
- Provide care to residents and help in updating service plans
- Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies, offering first aid assistance
- Assist with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and eating
- Support caregivers as required
- Document and communicate resident changes promptly
- Maintain resident care confidentiality as per HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications:
- High-School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one-year experience in a healthcare environment
- CMA certification preferred
- HCA or CNA license required
- First Aid & CPR Certification within 30 days of employment
- Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment
- Experience in elder care and interaction
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination preferred
