Key responsibilities:
- Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Requires a two year allied health degree, successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound.
- Reports to the Director of Imaging
Qualifications:
- Requires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Must have RVT credential and be experienced in breast, OB/GYN, and general US imaging
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential is required
- OB/GYN experience must include biophysical profiles
- Breast Imaging must include experience in biopsies
- Experience in Echocardiography is preferred, but not required
