Summary:
This role involves performing assigned laboratory testing and reporting, emphasizing teamwork, meeting deadlines, and delivering quality care. The position embodies the organization's values, mission, and vision.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) via ASCP
  • Medical Technologist (MT) via AMT
  • Blood Bank (BB) via ASCP
  • Chemistry (C) via ASCP
  • Cytogenetics (CG) via ASCP
  • Cytotechnologist (CT) via ASCP
  • Hematology (H) via ASCP
  • Microbiology (M) via ASC
  • Molecular Biology (MB) via ASCP
  • Specialist in Cytometry (SCYM) via ASCP
  • Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via AACC/ASCP with 5 years' experience.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with certification, no previous experience required.
  • Associate's degree and/or relevant experience, AND MLT or other certification, AND 5 years of lab experience.

REPORTS TO:
Laboratory Supervisor or Designee

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Fast-paced and at times stressful environment. Exposure to hazardous materials.

Responsibilities:
- Performs Laboratory Testing
- Utilizes required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Quality Control and Preventive Maintenance
- Troubleshooting equipment and processes
- Organizing work area
- Maintaining Specimen Acceptability
- Meeting Turnaround Time Expectations
- Effective Time Management
- Continuing Education requirements
- Special Projects involvement
- Tech-in-Charge duties as needed
- Reviewing Reports and Results Reporting
- Additional Job Components
