Century Group's client is seeking a dynamic, temporary Accountant. You will report to a Senior Accountant/Manager and play a crucial role in Financial Accounting and Reporting. Day to day responsibilities will be preparing moderate and occasionally complex journal entries, account reconciliations and creating supporting schedules for regulatory compliance and financial reporting requirements. This position is on-site in San Francisco. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $39 to $41 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare moderate and occasionally complex general ledger journal entries and supporting documentation for the period-end close procedures.
  
• Ensure timely resolution of reconciling items in account reconciliations.
  
• Create schedules and reports to support the annual financial statement audit and tax Form 990, with thorough documentation.
  
• Contribute to the documentation of accounting process narratives.

• Intermediate knowledge of GAAP
  
• Attention to detail, including the ability to perform thorough self-reviews to limit clerical errors or inaccuracies.
  
• Critical thinking, including the ability to utilize available resources to determine the best course of action for non-standard transactions.
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with staff, management, and outside contacts in a cooperative and professional manner.
  
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, or a Finance-related field
  
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience in either public accounting or corporate accounting, or a combination of both
