JOB OVERVIEW:

A breakfast attendant's main responsibility is to provide a clean and well-stocked breakfast area and to ensure absolute guest satisfaction by providing friendly and courteous service.


REPORTS TO:
Front Office Manager/General Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure absolute guest satisfaction.
  • Setup breakfast according to Comfort Suites Tampa Fairgrounds/Choice Hotels operational policies and standards and in compliance with your local county and/or city health department's standards.
  • Attend to guest needs, ensuring food is continually replenished and presented in an appealing manner. Clear and clean tables and chairs; check floor for debris between guests. All the while maintaining clean and wellorganized dining and work areas. Including disinfecting all areas where food is prepared or served.
  • Maintain all dispensing machines, operating equipment and serving utensils in a neat and clean manner to ensure maximum job efficiency and an appealing presentation. Organize storage areas to ensure the quality of the food, implementing "first in first out" method food rotation.
  • Plans and prepares for the following day. Checks inventory of supplies taking action as necessary to ensure adequate quantity and quality of products for the next day and maintains a record of guest requests for breakfast items and provides the information to the General Manager.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area to effectively assist guests.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attentions so prompt corrective action can be taken.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned

In order to maintain a positive guest and associate experience, your work habits should always meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance.

You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Holiday Inn Express.

Every Holiday Inn Express associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
