The company has an R&D team with an established track record in the pharmaceutical development of small molecule protease inhibitors, world-leading expertise in the role of plasma kallikrein in disease, and a management team with the capability to bring small molecules through the clinic to commercialization.

KalVista now seeks an

Associate Director, Forecast and Performance Reporting

which is critical to the organization's mission as it prepares to commercialize sebetralstat, a novel, oral plasma kallikrein inhibitor.

KalVista recently reported positive results from the KONFIDENT phase 3 study which demonstrated that sebetralstat met all efficacy endpoints for the treatment of HAE attacks and the safety profile was comparable to placebo.

We plan to submit an NDA in the first half of 2024 with launch in 2025.

As the successful candidate for this position, you will fill a critical operating role within KalVista and be part of the Insight and Analytics Team.

You will be a key member of the Insight and Analytics Leadership Team, responsible for developing and implementing forecasting models, delivering performance reporting, and providing insights to the US commercial team.

This includes collaboration with the US commercial team to understand business needs, gather necessary information and inputs for reporting, and ensure the accuracy of forecast.

Responsibilities
Lead the forecasting process and implement best-in class forecast modelling approaches and tools (e.g., standardization of input and output, brand dashboards, etc.)
Support the annual and quarterly forecasting processes and monitor business performance against KPIs on a recurring basis
Conduct root-cause analyses of historical performance versus forecast, generating new insights and informing future planning
Ensure continuous development of forecasting process to create an agile and dynamic modelling process that can improve scope and accuracy
Support new asset assessment, life-cycle management assessment, and business development activities
Provide contextual forecasting support to business verticals (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Market research, Market Access) to ensure thorough understanding, and enable them to plan for future strategies and tactical investments
Integrate forecasting insights with primary research, competitive intelligence, and analytics insights co-developed with peers across the Insights and Analytics team
Oversee and manage weekly/monthly performance reporting and analytics
Establish launch KPIs to inform organizational decision-making
Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across Market Research, Market Access, Finance, and Data Management. Share insights on areas of strength, opportunities, and recommendations for near-term growth
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, science, or a related field
Master's degree or MBA preferred
6-8 years of experience in forecasting or quantitative roles within

Analytics/Finance/Corporate

strategy/BD in the biopharmaceutical industry
Preferred experience in specialty/rare disease
Deep expertise in advanced spreadsheets, patient-based forecast modelling (including dynamic patient models), data analysis, and data visualization tools
Ability to explain complex concepts to stakeholders in simple language and lead/drive consensus building
Demonstrated ability to think strategically to drive key business decisions
Innovative mindset with the ability to take a creative approach to best meet the needs of both customers and KalVista
