Job Summary

This position at US6469 Sysco Payroll will lead the implementation of prevention-focused health, safety and environmental (HSE) and security programs. The role involves establishing, executing, and delivering a specialized strategy to support Sysco's overall HSE objectives, including security and crisis preparedness goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop health, safety, and environmental (HSE) strategy with Operational Management support
  • Create effective HSE plans to reduce injuries and accidents
  • Communicate HSE strategy and objectives with Senior Leadership
  • Implement metrics to track progress and identify areas of concern
  • Design and deliver training programs for HSE knowledge transfer
  • Lead incident investigation processes and corrective action plans
  • Facilitate completion of company-wide annual HSE training plan
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain required permits
  • Achieve annual targets for incident frequency, severity, and cost reductions
  • Drive and promote a zero-incident HSE culture
  • Monitor and communicate regulatory changes
  • Perform management functions including staff selection, development, and performance reviews
  • Maintain associate relations and improve engagement
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications
  • Experience: 5-7 years in environmental and safety roles
  • Certifications: Working toward safety certification (CSP) preferred
  • Professional Skills: Strong safety background, analytical and interpersonal skills, effective communication, leadership, and team-building abilities
Physical Demands:

This job may require sitting, standing, walking, computer operation, and occasional lifting

Working Conditions:

This role involves working at assigned company facilities with occasional travel
