Job Description

Overview: The Accounts Receivable Associate plays a crucial role in handling financial transactions related to accounts receivable using various software platforms and tools. This position requires expertise in Yardi, MS Office, and Clickpay, as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate processing of payments, invoicing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Utilize Yardi software for accounts receivable functions such as invoice generation, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
  • Payment Processing: Manage incoming payments accurately within Yardi and reconcile with bank deposits.
  • Invoicing: Generate and distribute invoices to customers, ensuring compliance with billing schedules and insurance requirements.
  • Renters Insurance Compliance: Verify and maintain records of renters' insurance coverage to comply with lease agreements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts receivable ledger in Yardi, resolving discrepancies.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Use Excel, Word, and Outlook for reports and data analysis.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records of transactions, correspondence, and insurance documentation.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional assistance to customer inquiries related to billing and payment processing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.
  • 1-3 years of accounts receivable experience with proficiency in Yardi and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with renters insurance processes preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial data reconciliation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Certification in Yardi software administration is a plus.
