Job Description: Keo & Associates Inc. is seeking an Estimating Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to support our lead estimator. Your contributions will be crucial in helping us establish accurate costs for materials, equipment, subcontracted work, production activities, requirements, and labor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze specifications, and other documents to gather necessary data
  • Assist the lead estimator in preparing detailed cost estimates for projects
  • Evaluate and interpret construction proposals and related documentation
  • Help establish costs for materials, equipment, subcontracted work, and labor
  • Collaborate with lead estimator to ensure accurate and timely estimates
  • Assist in maintaining and updating estimating databases and documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a construction estimating role, preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift) a plus
  • Some knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards


Salary Range: $40,000 to $50,000 a year
