A Server at Casa Cruz New York will be responsible for always providing elegant and welcoming service to our guests by following the Santa Cruz Co. Brand Standard. The ideal Server will be energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated and passionate about hospitality, food and beverage. This role works with a strong attention to detail and directs the activities of their support staff to ensure an unparalleled dining experience.



Responsibilities

  • Work cleanly and maintain organization during service
  • Communicate efficiently and respectfully
  • Full knowledge beverage menus, and able to guide guests to best order
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Adhere to grooming and dress code standards
  • Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction
  • Maintain the cleanliness of bar tools and bar areas
  • Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary
  • Support team with beverage service to all dining room areas
  • Assist in service preparation including but not limited to juicing and cutting fruit, preparing syrups, building garnishes and batches, etc.
  • Receiving and working with ingredients for the preparation of bar menu items
  • Complete all necessary opening and closing side-work according to standards and specifications set by the team in a timely and professional manner
  • Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages
  • Completing regular deep cleaning of the restaurant
  • Cleaning, polishing and maintaining stock of bar glassware and service-ware


Skills & Requirements

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • existing knowledge of food, wine, spirits, cocktails, beer
  • Strong knowledge of dietary allergies
  • Commitment to excellence
  • Desire to learn
  • Ability to work cleanly and maintain attention to detail
  • At least 3 years' experience in a high volume environment and/or working with a craft cocktail program
  • Experience in fine dining or casual fine dining is preferred
  • NYC Food Handler's license preferred, but not required.
