Chef De Cuisine

The Link Restaurant Group, co-founded by Chef Donald Link and Stephen Stryjewski, continuously expands its family of acclaimed restaurants in New Orleans. We are looking for an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our Cochon Butcher kitchen team. The ideal candidate should excel in efficiently managing kitchen operations, overseeing inventory, and ensuring consistent quality in both food production and presentation. Additionally, they will be responsible for upholding company standards of excellence across all areas under their supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and optimize labor and food costs to meet budget targets
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations
  • Effectively coordinate staff and resources in a fast-paced environment
  • Create high-standard menus based on product availability and cost considerations
  • Handle food ordering and invoice processing
  • Supervise cooking methods, portioning, and presentation
  • Manage food and equipment procurement
  • Ensure top-quality food presentation for high-end clientele
  • Conduct regular inventory checks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Requirements:

  • Prior relevant experience
  • Ability to set and maintain high kitchen standards
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership skills
  • Innovative and proactive mindset
  • Familiarity with health regulations and food handling guidelines
  • Understanding of P&L, food and labor costs, and menu pricing
  • Display professionalism, integrity, and dedication to guests and colleagues

Physical Demands:

  • Requirements include seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, and moving throughout shifts. Reasonable accommodations can be provided if needed.
