Job Description:

  • Provide essential support to the packaging team in the production of high-quality products, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Execute assigned tasks following established procedures and working under regular supervision to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure safe performance of job responsibilities, contributing to achieving quality standards, on-time delivery, and minimizing waste and rework.
  • Report to the Supervisor, Packaging, and undergo comprehensive onboarding training covering job setup, operational procedures, and related activities.
  • Review daily work schedules, thoroughly understanding requirements for each job and confirming materials and specifications.
  • Assist in hand collating, final assembly, and kit building as directed by the line lead, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain correct sequencing and quality of packaging projects, handling completed products and palletizing materials.
  • Visually inspect products for quality defects and notify the line lead accordingly.
  • Operate basic auxiliary devices/equipment under supervision, such as manual shrink wrappers, cartoners, or box cutters.
  • Stage jobs in advance for scheduled production runs, including loading product materials onto production lines.
  • Ensure accurate postings in the MIS system regarding time and material usage for each job.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, housekeeping procedures, company policies, and ISO requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure the efficient functioning of the work unit.
  • May occasionally perform duties outside of normal responsibilities as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods according to the scheduled shift.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Effective customer service, interpersonal, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Basic proficiency in using the intranet and management information systems (MIS).
  • Clear oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in simple mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
