LAUNDRY OPERATOR - Barron Center, Linen Services
Permanent, Full-time hours per week.

Weekly schedule:
Friday - Tuesday 6:30AM-2:30PM.
The Barron Center is owned and operated by the City of Portland and is Maine's largest skilled nursing facility.

Duties may include:

  • Distributing clean linen within the facility.
  • Rubbish removal
  • Loading and unloading commercial washers and dryers.
  • Folding and sorting linen.
  • Picking up soiled linen.
  • Hanging and delivering personal laundry.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Must be able to lift objects weighing over 50 lbs. for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperature conditions.
  • Must possess a valid Maine Class C driver's license.
  • Must be able to follow oral and simple written instructions.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position,
CEBA Grade 5, starting pay range $17.37- $19.32 per hour
