Roles & Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
10+ years of relevant experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining middleware applications (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, Datapower, IBM MQ, Tibco, MuleSoft, IBM ISVA)

Key Responsibilities:

Middleware Administration:
Monitor and troubleshoot middleware-related issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Upgrade (WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, Datapower, IBM MQ, Tibco, MuleSoft, IBM ISVA) from one version to higher version.
Well-versed in scripting languages like bash, sh, Perl, and csh
Experience and aware of Technical concepts like caching, connection pooling, threading, transaction management, etc
Recover the Middleware applications in case of the server/application crash.
Provide production support for Middleware components, including Access Manager/Authentication.
Integration of Middleware application for alerts/issues with ticketing tool to automatically generate the incidents.

Manage middleware components, including Patching of Middleware applications, Capacity planning, performance tuning, Certificate renewals and deployments for internal and external certificates.

Integration of Webservers with Middleware products(Weblogic, Tomcat, IIS, Jboss, WebSphere etc)
Knowledge of different deployment tools like Bladelogic, teamsite, etc.

Support and Maintenance:
Provide 24/7 support for middleware environments, including on-call rotation duties.
Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
Develop and maintain documentation related to middleware configurations, processes, and procedures.

Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with application development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure middleware solutions meet business requirements.
Collaborate with vendors for middleware-related products and support.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding the status and progress of middleware initiatives.

Security and Compliance:
Implement and maintain security best practices for middleware environments.
Identify and remediate the Vulnerabilities on the Middleware application.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in middleware management.
Stay updated with the latest middleware technologies, trends, and best practices.
Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery exercises.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of disaster recovery procedures.
Under guidance, incorporate changes approved by the CAB into the procedures.
Participate in the execution of recovery procedures and provide post-recovery support as needed.

Documentation and Best Practices:
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation in line with industry best practices.
Create and update the Runbook and SOPs as per the standard procedures.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Support middleware solutions to enable the integration of different systems and applications
Hands-on experience with application server migration and upgrade projects such as Tomcat, JBoss EAP, Apache, etc
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong drive to excel in client service and customer satisfaction
Flexible to working in shifts
ITIL understanding with relevant ITIL qualifications
Good interpersonal skills

Qualifications:
Apache TOMCAT administration
MS IIS administration
WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment

Education:
A minimum of Bachelor's Degree or higher although relevant experience will be taken into consideration
