The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, gather and document requirements, and ensure the successful implementation of systems that enhance organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding
  • Translate existing and conceptual requirements into written functional solution requirements, workflows, system designs, and prototypes, when necessary
  • Verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards throughout the project lifecycle, refining as appropriate
  • Work with internal and external data sources to design automated processes to extract, transform, and store the data.
  • Use a combination of analysis and intuition to define, validate, and combine data across multiple sources
  • Provide mapping information and processing input to SQL developers to enable the appropriate database design best suited to the data
  • Work with BI developers to present data in a meaningful and appealing manner that provides the most decision support value to the users
  • Participates with technical and data analysis teams to troubleshoot defects (technical and functional) during post-release support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required (computer science, information systems, business administration, or other industry-related curriculum)
  • PMI, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma certifications/training is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst or business systems analyst working directly with business leaders, subject matter experts, and technical teams, defining and documenting business models, requirements, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in working across technical and business boundaries (e.g., specifications, end-users, etc.) to establish cohesive solutions requirements and models
  • Proven SQL query skills and knowledge of SQL database concepts such as tables, data types, keys, joins, indexes, transactions
