We're looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Finance, Administration and Operations (FA&O) Content Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how we communicate, train, and collaborate within our team.

This is a professional position that requires exceptional writing and communication skills. Collaboration with other communication teams and key personnel within the university is critical for success.

In addition, the Content Manager must be able to work independently, research and resolve issues, and strategically implement communication plans on behalf of FA&O.

The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, enjoys working with diverse groups, and collaborating with others to resolve unique challenges.

This new position is hybrid in Colorado and requires regular on-campus presence.


The Office of Finance, Administration and Operations (FA&O) provides critical support to the mission and forward-thinking strategic initiatives while managing $325 million in operating activity, stewarding $1 billion in assets, and supporting 1400 faculty and staff.

The FA&O Content Manager reports directly to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer and actively collaborates with staff and leadership to amplify, disseminate, and organize institutional knowledge and expertise across the University.


The Content Manager will closely liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure communications and content are updated, consistent, and timely for campus constituents.

They must be able to anticipate and coordinate communications in conjunction with change management strategies and project implementation plans. This position will modernize and maintain the FA&O website, templates, and published communications.

In addition, they will manage the finance and administrative training strategy for stakeholders, provide technical guidance for training materials, and ensure content is relevant and easily accessible.


Responsibilities:

FA&O Content Creation and Management Modernize and maintain the FA&O functional website and provide support and guidance for other functional area websites.

This includes coordinating content updates to ensure best practices and consistent presentation of information. Create, edit, and maintain digital resources including user guides, forms, procedures, and other related content. Develop and enforce standardized templates that align with University guidelines for communications. Implement efficient search and retrieval mechanisms for users seeking specific information.


FA&O Training Strategy Development Coordinate the training strategy and services for financial and administrative processes: Develop and maintain a training inventory that details role relevance, modality, cadence, frequency and access.

Collaborate with functional leaders to develop strategies leading to highly skilled campus partners trained on university policies, procedures and regulatory compliance.

Lead and/or assist with the creation and delivery of training including online learning sessions and training videos.


FA&O Communications Management Develop, coordinate, edit and disseminate a monthly newsletter on behalf of FA&O to ensure the campus community can rely on a trusted source of information for Financial and Administrative news and updates.

Collaborate with leadership to build and implement communication plans that complement projects and change management, policy changes, and new strategic initiatives.

Create, edit, and publish formal announcements and communications on behalf of FA&O and the Executive Vice President. Provide editing expertise for blog posts, project updates, physical handouts, and other communication content on behalf of FA&O.

Minimum Qual fications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in, journalism, technical writing, or a related field.

Individuals without a degree may be considered if they demonstrate possession of substantially the same knowledge level as found in a degree but have attained advanced knowledge through a combination of work experience and intellectual instruction.

3+ years of experience in a professional communication role. Proven experience in content management, knowledge management, or technical documentation. Experience with instructional and learning technology design. Experience with a web content management system. Proficiency in advanced writing and professional communication skills.
Experience in conducting research, draft, and finalize policy and procedural documentation that aligns with best practices. Familiarity with best practices for content creation, editing, and website organization. Strong analytical skills, particularly in identifying and cataloging institutional knowledge sources. Experience with developing and implementing communication plans. A track record of recommending and implementing process improvements in knowledge management. Proven capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and departments. Ability to maintain confidentiality with internal department matters.
