Job Summary The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the overall nursing operations of the facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for elder care, a strong leadership and management background, and a commitment to providing quality care to our residents. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff
Ensure that all residents receive the highest quality of care
Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
Monitor the nursing budget and ensure that resources are used efficiently
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the needs of residents are met
Represent the nursing department to the administration and to the community Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
Current RN license in the state you are working in
Valid CPR certification
At least 10 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
