Aircraft Quality Control Inspector

Welcome to an exciting opportunity to become an Aircraft Quality Control Inspector at our company. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained within all required specifications of aviation regulations and directives to ensure they are airworthy before operation.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Inspect the work of Aircraft Mechanics to ensure maintenance, repairs, and modifications meet required standards.
  • Apply technical knowledge to determine proper equipment installation and operation.
  • Assist in solving complex problems by interpreting technical documentation.
  • Make entries in aircraft logs, provide guidance to lower level technicians, and oversee all modifications and maintenance efforts.
  • Perform quality inspections and operational tests during maintenance and repair processes.
  • Review and approve repair procedures and solutions.
  • Monitor safety, training, and certification requirements.
  • Conduct Safety Inspections and Foreign Object Damage Inspections.
  • Oversee tool control programs and ensure equipment meets calibration requirements.
  • Maintain Quality, Safety, Training, and Certification Records.
  • Collaborate with Customer Quality Assurance Representative on quality matters.
  • Assist in the development of operation procedures and safety plans.
  • Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Valid Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) License.
  • Valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).
  • Ability to obtain a Government flight line driver's license.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

  • Capable of performing various physical tasks.
  • Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment.
  • May be required to work night shifts.
  • May work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or outside.
  • Some domestic travel may be required.
