JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee a team responsible for full cycle accounting, process improvements and efficiencies. Accounting Manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. The incumbent is required to work with various business units in different countries. This job requires the individual to be highly motivated and work well under pressure and tight timelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Responsible for America's Regional Office accounting. Ensure transactions are recorded timely and accurately
  • Review financials during month-end to check for misclassifications or omissions before closing the books
  • Managing intercompany transactions. Sending timely intercompany invoices and booking the entries accordingly, confirming intercompany balances and reconcile with business units during month-end process, and settling intercompany balances timely
  • Review and analyze the financials to understand and ensure the accuracy of data reported. Coordinate with the business units to obtain answers for unusual items regarding the financial data
  • Supervise the general ledger group preparing financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually, and ad-hoc) timely and accurately for legal entities within the control of the Americas regional office for consolidation reporting
  • Reviewing financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Respond to inquires from Directors, VP, and other company wide managers regarding financial results, and special requests as needed
  • Providing technical guidance to the business units for accounting and reporting related matters
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasting
  • Training new employees, periodic auditing of travel and other expenses, providing services for internal customers
  • Administering company bank accounts and credit card accounts
  • Develop and drive process improvements to reduce finance business process cycle times and improve financial reporting quality and reliability
  • Handles personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc
  • Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
  • Manage and lead employees to build a strong team in providing support to the management team and providing customers excellent service experience
  • Always act as an ambassador for DP World when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's Founder's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned on as needed basis
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Accounting related bachelor's degree
  • 10-15 years of general accounting, accounts payable or other accounting related field is a must
  • ERP system experience is a must. Prior Oracle Fusion financials experience is a plus but not required
  • International accounting experience is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work with colleagues with different languages, backgrounds, and personalities
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and planning skills with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Requires advanced in Excel skill
  • Strong leadership skills
