Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under direct supervision, you'll assist, monitor, and respond to security needs within our Hospital and School facilities, focusing on deterring crime and protecting our people and assets.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Facility Security

  • Perform regular security checks, watch for hazards, and deter theft
  • Control entry/exit, oversee facilities, and respond to alarms
  • Monitor walkways, parking, and assist with traffic
  • Administer security clearances and assist employees and visitors

Public Safety Assistance

  • Prevent losses, provide First Aid, and assist dispatch
  • Communicate via radio, monitor alarms, and maintain logs

Policy Enforcement

  • Inform violators of policies, enforce smoking regulations, and badge monitoring

Reporting and Departmental Support Requirements

  • Complete incident reports and provide administrative support

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years of public safety or customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills and CPR/First Aid certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-Year College Degree
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR, prior experience with weapon detection systems
