ST Engineering MRAS is a world-leading manufacturer of complex aerostructures including nacelle systems and specialized structural components of the airframe. It supplies and supports these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers and aircraft operators. 4-million sq. ft. facility situated on 180 acres – where the company and its predecessors have designed, built, and equipped civil and military aircraft for over 95 years. In addition to MRAS' design, development and manufacturing capabilities, the company provides technical support, spares, and other services for its products.
Role Summary Purpose
At Middle River Aerostructures Systems, we design and build Nacelles for commercial aircraft applications. Our products help make it possible for millions of people to fly quickly and safely all around the world.
In this role, you will lead design efforts within your assigned program.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design and document Nacelle components and assemblies, including thrust reversers, inlets, and fan cowls.
- Execute product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality and/or productivity.
- Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations on events occurring in fleet of fielded hardware.
- Initiate and execute engineering changes to support cost out, weight out, and producibility projects.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Engineering position related to design. Aerostructure design experience is highly perferred.
Desired Characteristics
- Highly skilled in CATIA V5
- Experience with Nacelle Systems is highly preferred
- Experience with PLM system, Enovia preferred
- Experience with composite design software, Fibersim and/or CPD preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
