POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role involves providing direct care to individuals struggling with substance abuse, along with supervising primary care staff.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate potential clients.
  • Implement and follow emergency procedures for medical and psychiatric situations.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and communicate refill needs efficiently.
  • Deliver clinical nursing care following physician orders and established protocols.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of clients during withdrawal.
  • Coordinate transfers to hospitals when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all relevant activities.
  • Provide leadership to primary staff and ensure smooth operation of daily tasks.
  • Uphold strict infection control policies.
  • Participate in emergency drills and ensure safety and security measures.
  • Perform additional delegated duties as needed.
  • Contribute to educational groups and treatment team meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Uphold professionalism with colleagues, clients, and service providers.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with other agencies for coordinated services.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current LPN license.
  • Possess a valid New York State driver's license.
  • Obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Proficient in operating various equipment and systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrates good attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work efficiently, cooperatively, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to engage in treatment-centered activities and responsibilities.
  • Commitment to following established policies and procedures.
