SUMMARY

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing automation systems.
  • Design and develop PLC/Loop Controller systems based on project requirements.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs and Loop Controllers from various manufacturers.
  • Develop and maintain HMI terminals for user interaction with controllers.
  • Design and layout electrical control panels, enclosures, and controls.
  • Develop and maintain databases for automation systems.
  • Document control system designs and modifications for future reference.
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and project startup.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and IT teams to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide technical support to resolve automation equipment issues.
  • Assist with electrical troubleshooting and coordination with external vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should possess:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Controls Engineering.

Five plus years of relevant experience working with PLCs, programming languages, HMI design, networking, and more.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to comprehend technical documents and effectively communicate with various stakeholders.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Proficiency in applying advanced mathematical concepts to engineering tasks.

REASONING ABILITY

Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of complex systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to perform job functions that may require sitting, standing, walking, and good vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: readiness to work in environments with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to particles.
