Novant Health Lexington Primary Care is in need of a Certified Medical Assistant to support the provider in ensuring safe, quality, and cost-effective service and care for the practice population. Join a fantastic team where top-notch care meets excellent service at all times.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is a must.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program with a clinical externship is required. The program should cover pharmacology and medication administration. Online programs without a clinical component are not accepted. Certification/registry must be obtained within six months of hire, along with signing an education agreement. Accepted certifications/registries include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), ARMA, NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP. Alternative work experience criteria are also provided for eligibility to take certification exams.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a medical office is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification is necessary.
  • Additional Skills: Ability to pass generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
