We are looking for Personal Trainers

Position Summary:
This role is part of the team at the Y, a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

- Engages with new and current members to create customized fitness programs tailored to their specific needs and objectives.
- Establishes an inclusive environment that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and skill levels.

Rate of Pay:
$15 - $20 per hour

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field, and/or certification from a nationally recognized accrediting body.
- CPR/AED certifications required.
- Prior experience working with diverse groups is preferred.
- Completion of YMCA/ACE Foundations of Strength & Conditioning training within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities:
- Maintains detailed and relevant records for each client.
- Ensures timely follow-up on initial communication with clients.
- Designs, maintains, and adapts personalized fitness programs based on clients' needs and preferences, following National YMCA guidelines.
- Sets a positive example by maintaining or enhancing personal fitness levels.
- Supports Y initiatives, campaigns, and activities.
- Handles all situations in line with YMCA Character Values.
- Establishes and nurtures partnerships within the community.
- Adheres to Y policies and procedures.

*** Part-time staff enjoy complimentary memberships and reduced rates for child care and select programs.
