City Experiences is in search of an Accounting Analyst to join our Business Operations team.

The Accounting Analyst will support various accounting functions for the City Cruises US division, ensuring robust cash controls by reconciling balance sheet accounts, establishing and implementing AR processes, aiding in Accounts Payable procedures, and taking on some responsibilities for month-end closing. This position is project-oriented, with recurring monthly tasks.

A successful analyst will excel at reconciling extensive datasets, identifying discrepancies, efficiently carrying out transactional duties across multiple systems, and be versatile in dealing with GL, Operational, and AP accounting.

The Accounting Analyst role demands adaptability, dynamism, and exemplifying Hornblower's RESPECT SERVICE SYSTEM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions and maintain ledger entries
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of cash, AR, and deferred revenue reconciliations
  • Analyze transactions to determine appropriate accounting treatment
  • Monitor project advancement, providing timely updates and addressing obstacles
  • Support manager with occasional job requests and analysis as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously
  • Organized with keen attention to detail
  • Consistently meets strict deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Build and maintain productive relationships
  • Proficient in handling large datasets in Excel
  • Experience with Great Plains is advantageous
