Longevity Holdings is seeking a software engineer who has a genuine interest in learning, implementing and solving complex problems. Our ideal candidate is someone with three or more years of experience working on software applications.

Builds software applications – Follows coding standards, builds appropriate unit tests, integration tests and deployment scripts
Assists in refining software architectures – Collaborates with leads to explore existing systems, determines areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation, learns the applications capabilities
Communicates continually with the client and project teams – Explains progress on the development effort
Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions
Contributes to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture or new technologies

Required Skills:
1-3 years of experience with design, maintenance and development with SQL / relational databases
Expertise in at least one compiled language (Java, C, C#, etc)
Experience working with REST APIs and/or SOAP APIs
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, frameworks and technologies
Great problem solving and design skills, with demonstrated passion for quality
Takes initiative and is able to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Ability to communicate effectively

Preferred Consideration Given For:
Experience with React, nodeJS, Typescript
Experience working in an agile development process
Experience working with distributed source control systems (GIT)
Experience with unit testing (jest, jasmine, etc)
