Position: Restaurant Team Member

To provide excellent service to each customer courteously and efficiently, following the guidelines in the Service Section of the Church's Operating Standards Manual (the "OSM"), completing tasks promptly and in an organized manner.

Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:

  • Understanding of all restaurant policies, procedures, and operational and human resources processes
  • Outstanding communication skills and the capacity to engage professionally with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Aptitude for thriving in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change.
  • Adherence to proper security protocols in cash management, including regular cash drops and maintaining a minimum cash level in the register.
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage.
  • Punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes all patrons with a genuine smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere through a positive, friendly, and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Records and completes customer orders within designated service timeframes.
  • Provides recommendations for additional products as instructed by management.
  • Handles payments and delivers orders to customers.
  • Promptly addresses any customer concerns or complaints, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
  • Verifies cash counts and the register's starting funds. Takes responsibility for all cash transactions at their station throughout the shift, including guest check use. Balances the register at the end of the shift to ensure accuracy.
  • Reports any voids, price modifications, or equipment issues to the Manager on Duty without delay.
  • Ensures adherence to product holding times.
  • Maintains proper rotation and appealing presentation of items on the counter and in the display case.
  • Keeps the interior and exterior of the display case clean at all times.
  • Restocks the service area with an ample supply of essentials like napkins, cups, and lids. Ensures an adequate stock of iced tea.
  • Completes any other assigned tasks as needed.
