We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Fire Alarm Apprenticeship and collaborate with our skilled Fire Alarm Technicians.

This role involves the correct installation, functioning, and care of fire alarm systems. Key tasks include inspecting, testing, and conducting system checks following fire regulations, identifying code and system shortcomings, and generating precise and prompt inspection reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install or update fire alarms in residential and commercial buildings
  • Diagnose and fix existing alarm systems
  • Conduct inspections to verify alarms meet code specifications
  • Complete thorough inspection reports, noting any problems
  • Provide accurate and punctual updates on completed work
  • Maintain and safeguard company equipment
  • Follow company safety protocols, including driver safety and personal protective gear
  • Respond to emergency service requests
  • Maintain a tidy and secure work area
  • Carry out additional tasks as delegated by management

Education/Qualifications:

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in team settings and autonomously
  • Reliable transportation to and from the office or job location
  • Flexibility with scheduling, potentially including evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments
  • Capacity to detect and report deviations during inspection procedures
  • Understanding and application of relevant laws, codes, and regulations
  • Accurate record-keeping skills
  • Proficiency in following verbal and written instructions
  • Capability to use or repair various equipment and machinery

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy
  • Completion of other assigned tasks

Physical Demands:

  • Role entails regular standing, walking, manual dexterity, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasional lifting of heavy objects
  • Additionally, the job necessitates skills such as balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and sharp vision
