Job Title:
General Superintendent at Strike Construction Company

The General Superintendent plays a crucial role in ensuring safety at all levels within the organization according to Strike's EHS Policy. Compliance with safety regulations at every level is a top priority for the General Superintendent, overseeing all construction activities on site, supervising field personnel and subcontractors, and ensuring project completion within set timelines and budgets. Communication with the Project Manager is key for updates, labor, equipment planning, and Change Management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promoting job safety and enforcing safe work practices.
  • Conducting Job Safety Assessments (JSA) and communicating mitigation efforts.
  • Supervising all construction activities and personnel.
  • Directing field personnel and subcontractors for on-time, on-budget project completion.
  • Managing jobsite expenditures and resources alignment.
  • Coordinating material procurement and inspections.
  • Developing field workforce and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Maintaining client relationships and organized job sites.

Experience:

  • 3 years of General Superintendent experience.
  • 10 years in the construction industry.
years Supervisory experience

  • Experience in scheduling, ordering, quality control, and field supervision.
  • Managing capital projects from $5MM to $25MM.

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred.

Competencies:

  • Analyzing problems and making timely decisions based on objectives and risks.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and quality.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with listening skills.
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in varying physical conditions.

Other Criteria:

  • Requires travel and relocation as needed for project demands.
  • Compliance with company policies and Drug & Alcohol Policy.
  • Maintaining safety as a top priority.
  • Encouraging teamwork and productivity.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
