Job Summary:
The Lead Cloud Engineer plays a key role in overseeing and implementing cloud services within our organization. Responsibilities include managing new cloud deployments, maintaining a secure cloud environment, ensuring service availability, and supporting app/services operations. This position may require weekend support for planned maintenance activities.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the identification and resolution of technical issues.
- Research and troubleshoot developer and customer issues.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate teams.
- Provide feedback and ensure proper closure of all issues.
- Prepare reports and documentation as needed.
- Configure and monitor cloud infrastructure components.
- Manage QA and production releases.
- Participate in on-call rotations for system monitoring.
- Lead daily standups and support vulnerability management processes.
- Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
- Stay updated on technology trends and methodologies.
- Complete required security and technical training.
% Travel Required (Approximate): Minimal
Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should have experience in implementing Microsoft Azure solutions, Windows Server administration, Big Data, and cloud infrastructure management. Skills and knowledge in various system utilities, Azure services, scripting, and IT tools are essential. The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required. An MS Azure Certification is mandatory, and an MS Azure Administrator Associate certification is preferred.
