The Maintenance Intern is assigned targeted projects that will impact all Amy's Kitchen manufacturing sites.Projects will focus on improving equipment reliability and/or Maintenance Operations efficiency with a focus on improving the efficiencies of Maintenance Technicians as related to spare sparts availability.
The internship program is full-time work for a seasonal period.Most of the Maintenance Intern's work will be assigned by their manager; however, the Intern can propose additional value-added projects to work on that should be reviewed and approved in advance by the manager.
At the conclusion of the Intern's season at Amy's, they will present deliverables, key learnings, and any pending next steps for each of their projects to the plant leadership team and to any other impacted stakeholders (both internal and external to the plant).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Details:
Improve spare parts search process for Maintenance Technicians
Use existing data in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to create spare parts lists for assets.
Evaluate data in BOM (Usage report by asset) and move data to spare parts lists by make and model number.
The project will include interacting with key Maintenance Personnel to confirm and validate as well as to identify other useful data sources.
May include some travel to other plant locations in California, Oregon, and Idaho locations.

EDUCATION
Attending four-year college or university to attain Bachelor's degree; or already awarded Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university. Ideally Mechanical Engineer with interest in Maintenance but not required.
REQUIRED
SKILLS
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, project leadership, analytical, and reasoning skills.
Self-starter and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a sense of urgency.
Computer aptitude, training will be provided on our software.
Strong communication and time management skills.
SKILLS
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to plant management and other stakeholders.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
