Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role involves providing professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under supervision. Responsibilities include assessing residents' needs, administering treatments, documenting interactions, and collaborating with healthcare team members. The LPN must maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively, and support residents in self-care and treatment plans. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
Requirements include graduation from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN, with an associate degree preferred. Additional IV therapy training may be necessary depending on the location. A valid LPN license is essential, and ongoing education and competency training are required.
