HR Business Partner

The HR Business Partner plays a crucial role as an HR ally for the NAPA team in their specific area, focusing on implementing key HR functions that contribute to a lively workforce.

Working under the guidance of the Area HR Manager or the Regional HR Manager, People, this position collaborates closely with leaders and People (HR) team members to execute projects and initiatives concerning all aspects related to the team, such as onboarding, training, performance management, compensation, and employee engagement.

The key responsibility is to ensure the active involvement of NAPA's team members by providing effective support throughout the team member journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Support People (HR) leaders and Employee Service Center (ESC) in ensuring accurate payroll processing for both hourly and salaried staff (including payroll deductions, salary adjustments, timesheet reconciliation, and time/attendance tracking).
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation, onboarding for new hires, and offboarding processes for designated location(s) as required.
  • Maintain relevant administrative employee files.
  • Provide People (HR) reporting and assistance on employee relations, performance management, progressive discipline, policy interpretation, and addressing employee grievances.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory training, ongoing education, and work assessments.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company policies and procedures, along with compliance with applicable federal, state, or local laws.
  • Represent the company in managing unemployment claims processing as necessary.
  • Support benefits administration through benefits orientation, responding to benefits queries, and facilitating the annual enrollment process.
  • Organize monthly People events and leadership meetings to enhance team member engagement.
  • Stay updated on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • 3+ years' experience in HR Administrative roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with HR laws, regulations, and guidelines, including state-specific differences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle HR challenges and implement solutions in alignment with business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business.
  • 4+ years' experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience with Workday (HR) and Kronos.
