Summary:

Oversee Tooling, Tool Design and CNC Programming. Develop a comprehensive program for development, maintenance and improvement of tooling department. Lead process improvement in tool design and CNC programming.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop, implement and maintain tooling management
  • Lead CNC programming utilizing Siemens NX
  • Optimize tool, tool design and CNC program control
  • Ensure that Tool Design Standards are developed and maintained
  • Develop and implement the tool recycle and maintenance process
  • Create, direct, and promote process, procedure, and action plans
  • Attend engineering and/or management meetings and provide necessary input and guidance
  • Interface with vendors and purchasing department in selection of tools and various materials
  • Review project status with management

What you need to qualify:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing engineering
  • 10+ years' tooling, tool design experience, with at least 5 years as supervisor in a manufacturing environment
  • Expertise in stamping dies, jigs, fixtures, molds, press brake dies, hydroforming tools
  • Extensive knowledge of computer programs, understanding of document and data control as it relates to CNC programs (NX) and tool designs
  • Understanding of configuration management and control of tooling and related data, fundamentals of sheet metal layout and applications
  • Extensive knowledge machine operations including CNC mills, grinders, saws, punch press, lathes, heat treat equipment, drill press, torches, welders, hand tools and test equipment
  • Supervise, train and assist employees
