Your impact:

  • Learn our core software development workflows and supporting tools
  • Implement solutions to streamline the management of critical services for all of AppFolio's products
  • Analyze and address urgent issues affecting customers and internal stakeholders
  • Utilize existing tools and knowledge from other teams within the organization, building your own when necessary
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions for a responsive and reliable user experience

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in programming languages like Ruby and/or TypeScript, and frameworks such as Rails and/or React
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures
  • Passionate about developing robust and efficient platform-level components
  • Empathy towards fellow developers and their challenges in rapid software development
  • Curiosity in creating scalable software infrastructure
  • Desire to contribute to platform technologies utilised across AppFolio's ecosystem
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud services with tools like AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience
  • Proficiency in agile environments
  • Effective collaboration within a geographically dispersed team
  • Ability to balance business objectives with technical goals pragmatically
  • Establish strong relationships with peers and team members

Compensation & Benefits
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $106,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation will depend on various factors like skills, experience, and more. Besides the base pay, you may also be eligible for additional benefits and bonuses based on your role and employment type.

Regular full-time employees receive benefits.
