Location: Derby, Kansas
Job Description:
We are excited to invite a talented Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Derby, Kansas. This role is essential in providing students with the support they need to overcome speech and language challenges, enhancing their overall educational experience. The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language skills.
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans to address individual student needs.
- Provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
- Maintain detailed documentation of students' progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress evaluations.
- Stay current with research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active Kansas State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) licensure for Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
- Kansas State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Speech-Language Pathologist License.
