JOBPURPOSE:
Cardiac Device Specialistresponsible for providing technical and clinical services in theElectrophysiology ambulatory (outpatient) setting. CDS will performCardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) interrogations, witharrhythmia interpretation of ECG, measured data, evaluation ofarrhythmia burden, interpretation of diagnostics, and programmingof cardiac device, reporting to an EP Provider. Will also beresponsible for managing patients diagnostics in manufacturerremote monitoring websites, analysis and management oftransmission, entering data in the electronic medical record (EMR),maintaining the data integrity with the system, and having thejudgment to direct to the EP Providers, whenappropriate.

Support for CIED management will beunder the direction of supervising EP provider, Lead Cardiac DeviceSpecialist and/or EPManager.

Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
A certificate ofcompletion from an approved cardiac device technical school thatprovides a formal curriculum of education and training in cardiacpacing, defibrillation, cardiac resynchronization therapy andelectrophysiology OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in thefield of cardiac pacing or electrophysiology in the ambulatory(outpatient) setting may be substituted for the formal educationtraining program.

MINIMUMEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One (1) year of EPclinical experience as a Cardiac DeviceSpecialist.

MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
None.

ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Clinical DeviceSpecialist (CCDS) through Heart Rhythm Society within 24 months ofhire strongly preferred.
Certified Cardiac DeviceSpecialist (CCDS) certification by International Board of HeartRhythm Examiners (IBHRE) preferred.
Registered CardiacElectrophysiology Specialist (RCES) preferred.
