In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:



This position supports the completion of Weapons System Infrastructure and Capabilities (WSIC) projects. Exercises technical authority for the design, integration and completion of assigned WSIC projects to include major facility modifications, construction projects and Class III support equipment installation projects for the Trident II missile. Develops and reviews engineering design packages; drawings, specifications and cost estimates. Reviews facility project designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.

Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Cape Canaveral SFS, FL. , and be expected to work in the office as needed
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Computer Assisted Drafting (AutoCAD and REVIT).
• Demonstrated execution of engineering projects from start to finish.
• Demonstrated experience creating work products for design, procurement (Statements of Work) and verification activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience in power systems.
• You will need to be a US Citizen (no dual citizens), and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Licensure in Electrical Engineering (FE / PE).
• Demonstrated experience estimating costs for facility projects.
• Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers
• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
• Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
