Position Summary

McHenry County College seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach part-time college courses. Schedule will vary due to student demand.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Including but are not limited to:

Teach courses as assigned by the College. Available to teach daytime, evening, or weekend classes, as neededAvailable for student conferences either before or after class, and by College email if necessaryDevelop syllabus using MCC syllabus templateWork cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellenceConduct regular assessment of student learningMaintain and submit accurate student and course-related paperwork and data needed for College purposes in a timely fashionDocument and report attendance daily and maintain and submit accurate attendance records weeklySubmit grade reports electronically by the required dateUtilize a variety of pedagogical techniques to meet the diverse needs of our student populationUtilize computer-based instruction and databases when necessaryRequired Qualifications

A master's degree in Spanish or a master's degree and 18 graduate credit hours in Spanish or a master’s degree and native fluencyExperience teaching Spanish language coursesWillingness to use educational technology (i.e. course management platform such as Canvas) Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
