Responsibilities

What if you could find a position that leverages your previous technical experience and problem-solving skills?  Our team is looking for you, a junior systems engineer with technical skills to provide guidance and support to government Program Management Offices (PMOs) for ground enterprise solutions in the IC and DoD.

 

This program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an IC customer with a focus on acquisition and operations of a complex mission system and supporting IT infrastructure.  The contract support is part of the customer core team focused on all aspects of the systems life cycle including CONOPS development, capturing requirements, working with developers to deliver capability, testing to ensure capabilities meet requirements, transition to operations and operations support.  The program also supports innovations/technology development, provides acquisition and project management support to government program managers and IT information assurance security support.

The selected candidate will have frequent client interactions, and support system and mission strategy development across the various ground offices. The candidate will have daily interaction with the customer and supporting contractors and will need to follow customer standards and processes as the program matures through the life cycle. Candidate will interact with multiple Acquisition Offices (AOs) and support technical consultation, meeting coordination, and support to recommendation briefings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Works with the Government program leads for the support of multi-intelligence solutions to meet mission needs
  • Advise Government leads on the opportunities and limitations of various technical solutions
  • Provide recommendations for technical approaches and architectural designs with associated tradeoffs for different user needs
  • Integrate new systems and initiatives in support of customer/mission partner requirements and work directly with our developers and users in operations
  • Ability to assist in preparation of presentations and reports
  • Monitor system and segment schedules, recognize dependencies
  • Identify risks and opportunities of various technical approaches to solve a mission need
  • Candidate will be required to sign and adhere to Non-Disclosure Agreement(s) and (2) Confidential Agreement and Conflict of Interest Certification

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • BS in engineering, physics or related technical degree or BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related disciplines or equivalent work experience
  • 0 to 2 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years no degree
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • Intelligence Community knowledge and work history
  • Familiarity or willing to learn about Cloud product offerings/specifications
  • Experience or willing to learn about Agile deliveries
  • Commitment to recognize, understand, respect and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority
  • Ability to quickly respond to information requests and build products for to inform government lines of authority
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communicating skills
