Job Description:

We are excited to invite a talented and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in San Luis Obispo, California. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding speech and language therapy services to students, enhancing their communication skills and academic performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments.
  • Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language challenges.
  • Provide direct therapeutic services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support each students development.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust student progress and therapy plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert knowledge and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on current best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid California State License in Speech-Language Pathology (issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing (or eligibility to obtain this credential).
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
